Retirement Recognitions
Two long-time employees received recognition by the school board for their service to the district. Elementary teacher C. Shawn Arent retired after 30 years teaching at Washington Park Elementary and Nina Hargrove worked for 13 years in the district's food service department. Superintendent George Lammay gave each a word of thanks and a plaque recognizing their service at the November 21st school board meeting. Board President Tara Sparks-Gatling stood with the superintendent during the presentations.
