The Washington School District supports the philosophy that a quality interscholastic athletic program is vital to the positive social, physical, and educational development of students. The interscholastic athletic program enhances and supports the academic mission of the school system. We are committed to promoting the proper ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and fair play at all athletic contests. We support high standards of good citizenship along with regard for the rights of others.
Being a member of the interscholastic program is a privilege to be earned and maintained throughout the season. Participants are expected to represent themselves, family, team and school in a responsible, sportsmanlike manner.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL FORM. Any student-athlete in grades 7-12 playing a PIAA-sanctioned sport is required to have a Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) completed on or after June 1st of each school year. Only CIPPEs completed on or after June 1st are valid for the 2013-14 school year. Click on the CIPPE Cover Letter and CIPPE Sections 1-9.
2013-14 SPORTS PHYSICALS and PARENT NIGHT!
Free sports physicals for student-athletes who will be in grades 7-12 and who are planning to play a district-sponsored sport during for 2013-14 school year will be Saturday, June 8th at the Cameron Wellness Center. Under PIAA rules, a student-athlete only needs to get ONE physical for the entire year--unless there is a change in his/her medical status following an illness or injury during the previous sports season.
